Whether you have your own business, or you are able to sell one or even two ads it would be a great help. Prices start at $100, and your ad will be seen by many in the BLS Community. If you can help or have questions, please contact Cathy Bosch at cbosch15@yahoo.com for more information. Deadline is Nov 30.

BLSA Lecture and Gala - November 19
We hope all parents will come out and celebrate Boston Latin School for a twofer on Saturday, November 19
The first event is at 11:00am in the BLS Auditorium, which is also open to your student(s).  It is a conversation with Head Master ad interim Michael G. Contompasis '57, interviewed by award-winning journalist Lee A. Daniels '67.  There is no cost to attend, however it is requested that you register here to attend.

And for the evening, there will be an adult-only event: “A Celebration of Latin School” held 6:00pm at the Long Wharf Marriott ($150/pp).  It will honor Michael A. Leven '55, our distinguished alum who has endowed in perpetuity the BLS Athletic Director position, currently held by Jack Owens.

If you haven’t been to one of these events, it is a great adult social gathering for BLS parents, faculty, alumni, and friends – featuring a cocktail reception, dinner, and dancing to a live band.  While there won’t be any spare lampshades around, the combination of beverages, dancing, and possible rogue social media postings increases the likelihood you might embarrass your kids.  But hey, it’s a risk worth taking!

Let’s show the greater BLS community that parents really know how to socialize (and not just by texting) – and also re-energize ourselves with all the reasons why we decided to send our kids to BLS.

Again, if you would like to register for either the morning event, the evening Gala, or both please visit BLS.org, and go to the November calendar, click on “Celebration of Latin School”.  Based on last year’s Gala, we know there will be a great showing of BLS parents…

Editorial Guidance
The artwork can refer to one or more of the following themes/elements:  BLS, Winter, Music and/or singing, Musical people, Holidays, and/or Joy.  BLS is a melting pot of cultures and value systems. The artwork should have some universal appeal. It is important to be sensitive to peoples of all faiths and non-believers alike, so the artwork should not include religious references. That includes angels, Santa, and Christmas stars or trees.  Attached is last year's cover as an example.

Art should be created and/or scanned at a resolution of 300dpi, or originals can be submitted to Mr Harris and will be scanned if chosen.

FOA Program Books: Request for Help Soliciting Advertisements

We need parents and friends to help procure advertisements for the 2016-2017 cycle of Arts Program Books (Holiday Concerts, Guild Drama Production, Spring Music Nights, Spring Musical, and Fall Drama). Advertising in the BLS program is a really good deal for businesses and of course helps BLS kids out with extra funding for the arts.

Whether you have your own business, or you are able to sell one or even two ads it would be a great help.

The attached files can assist you in this process.
1. A letter of introduction
2. A document with particulars about the ad size, format and cost
3. A list of businesses that have been approached this year (in an attempt not to duplicate)

You can collect ads and payment from businesses and forward to us, or we can follow up if we know a business has committed to being part of the program. We just need contact info.

So as not to duplicate, please send an email to Cathy Bosch with the name(s) of business(es) you approached along with any businesses that agreed to buy space in the program.

If you want to advertise or if you have questions, let us know.
